A BBC news article today states that French and German customs authorities have seized Russian owned superyachts under the newly imposed sanctions.

It is reported that Custom officers in France have seized a yacht belonging to Rosneft boss Igor Sechin as it tried to leave the Mediterranean port of La Ciotat in a breach of European Union sanctions on Russian oligarchs.

News outlets are reporting that other Russian owned superyachts are heading to, or are already anchored off, the Maldives after the West imposed sanctions earlier this week.
