Another day, another data breach.
Classic Football Shirts has warned its customers that some of their data has been compromised following a cyber-security attack. The breach appears to have been noticed within minutes of customers receiving phishing emails. The address used by the hackers was distinguishable only by a single additional ‘s’ (classicS) and a number of customers appear to have fallen victim.
A report has been made to the ICO (and Action Fraud) and time will tell what regulatory action will be pursued as well as whether any civil claims follow. The company has sought to assure customers that no payment data was compromised but is “still investigating” whether password data was taken.
A firm selling retro football team shirts and merchandise has apologised to customers after a cyber-security attack accessed their data.
